I was in the tickets line with my friend, and I saw you join the long crowd of people. I was immediately captivated by how beautiful you were, in like a stupid movie kind of way. Sound cheesy? Ah, well. You were wearing a white tank and pale skirt. Beige, maybe. Hazel/green eyes, dark hair, and a grey cap. I was in all black: sleeveless tee (leaves of my tattoo peaking out on my left arm), adidas pants, and a Montauk Coffee Company cap. Anyway, we got our tickets and you went off towards the Greek statues. My friend kept telling me to go talk to you, but I was too nervous. We passed each other a few times at the Superfine: Tailoring Black Style exhibition. Probably made eye contact. We somehow ended up walking side by side as we crossed Central Park back towards the West Side, on a path near the Delacorte Theatre. I wish I’d said something to you, but I didn’t know what to say other than “Hey, I think you’re beautiful.”Anyone have a friend visiting the Met on Sunday? She looked mixed-race, though I’m assuming. Possibly Asian/white? Maybe there’s a chance we run into each other at a museum again.😩
