New York City
 NYC
I went to visit some record stores in the city for the first time and I was just browsing through records when I saw you. I overheard you ask the store employee if they had the band you were looking for—The Smashing Pumpkins—and they didn’t. Later, I finally gathered up the courage to strike up a conversation with you and we got to chatting a bit. We talked about some of the music we liked and you also told me you were solo traveling from Argentina and visiting for a few days, leaving on Sunday. I think you said you were studying Journalism and in your second year (of the second part of your education? I also remember you saying the education system was a bit different in Argentina) of study. I honestly thought it wasn't your first time there since you seemed to know exactly what you were looking for, but it was your first time at a record store too. I asked if you wanted to each pick a record and we could both listen to them and you seemed excited about that and we did that. We chatted some more and you finally picked the record you wanted to buy and paid for it. Before you left you came up to me, opened your arms for a hug and we hugged. I was so flustered and awkward. You said it was so nice meeting me and asked for my name. I told you my name and you told me yours and you said you needed to get going as you were going to miss a show. You said ā€œmaybe I’ll see you around?ā€ and I said ā€œyeah!ā€ and we said bye to each other. Who am I kidding, it's NYC, I'm probably never going to see you again. I’ve been kicking myself since yesterday since I didn't give you my number and I'm hoping to somehow run into you again.
