Last night around 6:30, I got on the downtown 6 train at 53rd street. There was this guy sitting closest to this door and he saw me running for the train. He stuck his arm out to keep it open for me and the train was fighting hard to close and keep going but he was determined to keep it open for me. We made eye contact and were smiling at each other and I got to the door, and with the help of my knee I got in. I said thank you but my headphones were in so I was very unapproachable but I do feel like we vibed. Hoping he sees this 😭 he got off at 42nd and he was reading a book!
